Prior to deploying to Iraq, I was totally supportive of Pres. Bush and his policies. However, upon going to Iraq and experiencing the loss of human lives, American and Iraqi, I decided that there was no way I could kill, or risk my being killed, for the poor reasons that Pres. Bush is using for his war. I was sentenced to prison for 7 months for being AWOL and speaking out against the war. I am not ashamed, for I did what I felt needed to be done. Now I am free and still fighting for truth
