Patrick Hart, formerly Sergeant Hart of the 101st Airborne Division, arrived in Toronto on August 21, 2005 after serving 9-1/2 years active duty in the US military.
He served in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from April 2003 to March 2004. "With an impending second deployment, young soldiers were asking me about the war. I didn't have answers, and I didn't want their blood on my hands."
In September 2005 Patrick was joined in Toronto by his wife Jill and young son Rian.
